1) Camp Loopy Time
2) Tour de Sock Time
3) Grand opening of a store time
4) GIVEAWAY time
So jumping to numbers 3 and 4.....as I have been teasing for a while, my best friend, Darlene aka AwesomeGrannie, has been sewing bags for a while and finally opened up her shop yesterday and has a ravelry group (you may want to join....she might be giving away a set of bags).. Her bags are soooooo awesome, but you have been seeing them since February when she gave me a bag for my birthday. Now you can get a bag of your own at her store....I know you will love them! To tie that in with number 4.....since my bloggiversary....I want to blogGIVEersary you a set of Darlene's bags!
Now....to tie that into number one......Darlene made the above yellow bag set way before the announcement of Camp loopy (this past Wednesday)....this camping material is PERFECT for Camp Loopy...and the trailer in this material even look like the one that Sheri has on their website:
All you have to do is comment below your favorite thing about my blog or what you want to see more of or what you want to see less of.....any feedback is great! Please also include your ravelry name so I have a way to get a hold of you...if you do not have a ravelry name, please be sure you are signed in with an email address and not set as anonymous! .....I will draw a winner on June 5th...the actual day of my blog"GIVE"ersary!
Lastly, I tie this into number 2.......Tour de Sock....the supplies for the socks are posted....the start date has been announced as June 1 (same as camp)....and I ordered some sponsor yarn. I have never used Invictus Yarn......I got the Haze colorway....I love this purple (and I am not usually a purple girl). I am on Team Roasted (the same team as last year) and I hope to get more than one 1/2 socks done this time! Wish me luck!
Happy Happy Happy knitting!
My favorite thing about your blog is the fact that you are a power knitter! I have no idea how you start & COMPLETE so many projects! I'm still plodding along on my Strickmich project and the pair of socks I started in January. I also love that you introduced me to AwesomeGrannie & her divine project bags. And last, I am a purple girl and would really like to hear how you like knitting with the Invictus yarn. Until next time...pawlah

ReplyDeleteRuth Anne, Orange is my favorite color! If you could not tell....Hook em Horns!
DeleteI am L-Marie on Ravelry, and I first learned of your blog in the Loopy Groopies Glamper #3 group. You also inspired me to order a beautiful camping/campers bag from your friend - what an exciting venture and a great shop!
ReplyDeleteIt's been fun checking out your blog, also - you have some beautiful projects which have inspired some new ideas and shown me some gorgeous new yarns to check out.
I'd love to win another bag from your friend also - they're beautiful!
Thank you for checking out my blog! You will love your bag! What kind did you get?
DeleteHi, I'm Lnmknits on Ravelry and a fellow Loopy Groupie! Thanks for offering this giveaway. These bags are so cute I wouldn't blame you if you didn't want to share! Your blog is new to me but I will definitely be back to read more. How do you knit so much???
ReplyDeleteHello Ellen, I remember camping with you last year! Welcome back to camp and thank you for checking out my blog!

ReplyDeleteThanks Jody! I love Orange....Hook Em Horns (It's a Texas thing!).
DeleteI'm brand new to your blog, having just discovered it yesterday. I sent you a message saying how much I love the animated lady knitting on your blog. I plan to go through all your old blog posts, where I'm sure I'll find some wonderful inspiration.
ReplyDeletehotknitter
I do hope you find some inspiration.....and thank you for the note in ravelry...it made my day!

ReplyDeleteI am glad it will be rectified....do you have a ravelry name I can put down for you?
DeleteI love: your background, specifically that it's orange :-p, all of your project status updates (it's like knitting vicariously!), but most of all, it's a fantastic way to stalk you since I don't get to see you every week anymore!!!
ReplyDeleteMiss you!

Rav: ceres18 duh!

ReplyDeleteYeah for Camp! I love camp loopy and I agree these are perfect bags!
DeleteMy most favorite thing about your blog at the moment (and if I had any sense it would be the least favorite) is that you have introduced me to a source for adorable bags. I have not received my yarn yet Camp Loopy, so don't know my Glamper Group, but I do have my camping bags ready for when it finally arrives from it's journey to the wrong address. Look for me under KisForKnitting.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have your Camp Yarn package by now....you should for sure have your bags from AwesomeGrannie by now.
DeleteI just enjoy your blog, simply put. The pics of kiddoes and admiring your yarn and knitting projects.
ReplyDeleteRav ID: threekidstwolabs
Thanks Stephanie!
DeleteI am a new reader to your blog and so far, my favorite thing about it is the photos. A blog post with photos really comes alive. I admire bloggers and aspire to be one, but my blog is woefully neglected. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity and for your blog.
ReplyDelete- knittygirl78 on Ravelry
Thanks Aubrey...I took a sneak at your projects and love your colorful hitchhiker!
DeleteLove the bags! So cute! I am camping from my stash this year, can't wait to get started.
ReplyDeleteHi Angie....is that your name on Ravelry? I need to know how to get a hold of you if you win....
