I finished the Weigh it Shawl that I made with the yarn my cousin brought me from Germany.....
And I knitted on my Socks on a Plane socks for Loopy Academy (but not much):
I did get my scarf from my Scarf Swap Partner and I LOVE IT! It is SOOOOOOO soft! And the chocolate is almost gone...and today I am having my first cup of the tea....it is delicious!!
And, because I am crazy....Stephen West has announced his newest MKAL starting Nov 6th....and I picked my yarn from stash (aren't you proud of me?):
My last bit of knitting news is that I changed my Ravelry name.....I was being harassed by another raveler that was super mean....so I changed it to:
ImAKnitphomaniac
Find me and add me as your friend!
So....onto some non-knitting stuff! My ice maker at home broke....it just pours out water and freezes in a clump (I need to complain to somebody...and you guys are the lucky 'sombodies'!)
Antonio had picture day and Paige sent me this photo
Then, I got to see Antonio one day during the week last week and he is all ready for Halloween (he is a power ranger for those of you not familiar with the character)
Then Friday was Beach time....I have decided that Antonio is a genuine & official Beach Rat!
He slept well on Friday night:
Then more beach time on Saturday (he was playing with my Cousin, Niece and Nephew)!
It was SUPER windy on Saturday.....almost unbearable.....at one point, an older couple's full size pop up canopy went tumbling towards us and I thought I would be able to stop it....well, I did stop it...but not unpunished.....just as I went to grab it, a big wind of sand went into my eye, so my arm stopped it......and the result? A big old bruise....oh well, I will live.
The wind was tiring....so tiring, that Antonio even took a nap on Saturday
Sunday it was time to come home to reality.....but not before one last picture of the whole family on the beach (from left to right, Daddy, me (yes, I look terrible, because I am really exhausted!), Antonio in front of me, Janice (my sister), Mommy, Grace (my Niece), Sean (my Nephew), Lena (my Cousin), Jim (my BIL, Janice's hubby)!
Well, that was my whole non knitting weekend! We all had a blast, but I was beat.....probably because I am so out of shape.....but a friend of mine sent this to my LSSK group...and I figure my laziness and extra weight ensure I am never kidnapped! LOL! Have a great week everyone!
Happy Happy Happy Knitting!
I love your Weigh It Scarf! I wonder if it would be a good pattern for our Camp Loopy reward yarn? I chose the same colorway as you. It's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove that Antonio. 😍
Mary Kay, I think our camp loopy yarn would look great in a Weigh It Shawl. The yardage and colors are perfect! I think I am going to make Westside (pattern by Taiga Hilliard Designs) with my Camp Loopy Yarn.
DeleteOops! I meant Weigh It SHAWL!
