Hi everyone! Last Wednesday evening I was experiencing some irritating post nasal drip at the back of my throat…I drank some hot tea and hoped it would go away, but when I woke Thursday morning, I felt pretty crappy…I rested, slept 10 hours, took meds and repeated....then Antonio came over his usual Friday evening to Saturday Evening.
When I woke Saturday, I had a bad cough, but we had golf to go to (my dad had a lefty set of clubs special made for Antonio) and we were gonna hit a bucket of balls with his new clubs....pics later.
Saturday afternoon, Celeste and Cataleya came over for a few hours and the kids swam in a small inflatable pool in the backyard, they ran around and played and colored, etc...Thank goodness Paige got off a little early and came over to hep me out…I was beat but stuffed full of over the counter everything just to get through the day because I didn't want to cancel.
I went to bed after everyone was gone and slept 10 1/2 hours to Sunday morning.....but now my cough was worse so of to TX Med Clinic and a diagnosis of Bronchitis was made......steroids, coughing syrup (the good stuff, makes my face tingly), and tessalon pearls prescribed.
Today I am finally starting to feel better instead of worse (Yeah)!
Stash enhancements.....I got a new crochet hook to use for beading with my Celestarium. This is my favorite one yet. It seems to fit the bead and the yarn well. Darlene also ordered me a fleegle beader, but I have not tried it yet (since I have been sick and have not seen her).
I got some worsted weight Juniper Moon Farm yarn. The base is called Moonshine and it is Wool/Alpaca/Silk. I am planning on making a cowl with this....but not sure when.
I got some self striping sport sock yarn from Darlene that I am in love with!
And a skein of DVD yarn in the Curious George Colorway
My 2nd skein of Hedgehog Yarn in the Film Noir colorway came in (both skeins together):
And my roommate, Carol, got me the most beautiful mug from Remembrances Pottery....she did it as a Thank you for letting her stay with me while her house is being fixed. I love this mug...it has a knitted pattern on it, thank you Carol!
Knitting.....well, I have had lots of knitting time, but not all of it was utilized....being sick sucks....sometimes you just go from bed to chair to bed to chair......but I did finish Jaime's hat for his ride (he leaves Wednesday) and my September Socks! Yeah!!!! Now, his hat has some serious errors.....but it is my first attempt at double knitting and I am still pretty proud of the results!
Here are my socks...
Next Month I will do Halloween Moon:
The only other thing I knit on this week was my Celestarium....I am behind because I put it away to finish hat and socks....but I am hoping to make up for lost time while I recover from Bronchitis. I am just about 10 rows into chart E, but hope to make it to Chart F today or tomorrow....we will see.
I leave you with some pics of my grand kids.....Antonio carrying his own clubs (next to my dad) and Antonio, Celeste and Cataleya in the pool...have a great week!
Happy Happy Happy Knitting!!
This blog is about my life....and I am completely addicted to knitting, so it is the Life of a Knitphomaniac! You will hear about my knitting, kids, grandkids, and just things going on. I hope you enjoy!

Fall is almost here!
Fall is supposed to be here in 3 days (Sept 22nd) but it sure does not feel like it to me! It has been HOT here in TX! Jaime and I went on a small Motorcyle Ride and it was perfect because we got home before it was too hot....I wore my new Motorcycle leggings with motorcycle boots and got lots of compliments!
It may not feel like fall yet, but I did get some very Fallish yarn. I got my package from the Miss Babs Knitting Tour. One other member described this as "If Autumn and Yarn had a Baby it would be this color!" and I completely agree!! We are going to China for the tour and this is called Silk Road!
The tour package comes with a fabulous hat and fingerless mitts pattern, but I am not 100% sure I will make those with this yarn.
I also got some more HiyaHiya Needles for hostessing KAL's for them. Next time I am going to try some non SHARP needles and see if they are nicer to my figertips....LOL!
I had a pretty busy week, so I did not really get in as much knitting as I wanted to (but I guess I never do)....this past Friday I did not even knit one stitch! GASP....that is unheard of for me....but for lunch I had to go to my boss' baby shower and then I picked up Antonio and I had issues with the water heater...it was just and exhausting day and I did not knit at all.....oh well.
So this week I knit a bit more on the Black sweater. I am going to only knit on this at work during my lunch hour...so you may not see too many more pictures in the future, but know I am still plugging away at it!
I did get a little more on that motorcycle hat...I have about a week and a day to finish this...Yikes! But you can barely start to see the bottom of the Harley Logo!
Then I started Celestarium.....I waited and waited and waited on starting this and I just could not wait anymore! I love it so far! I was a little worried that the North Star was too big....but I think when the whole shawl is done (and huge) it will look fabulous!
Gosh....can you believe that is all the knitting I did? I am behind on just about everything...so I am going to try to focus on the Motorcycle hat, my September Socks, and the Black sweater this week.....we will see how it goes!
I did have Antonio this past weekend and we took Precious to the groomer.....he thought she looked so 'handsome' when she was done (I call Antonio my Handsome Man)! Plus, this is the most calm Precious has ever been in the car...so it worked out perfectly!
My dad got Antonio his very own set of lefty clubs....Antonio has not seen them yet and he will be super excited when he does! I will take him to play with them this coming Saturday when I have Antonio again!
That is really all I have this week......I saw some really cute knitting shirts where I wish I was rich so I could buy them all...but I guess I will have to be okay with just pictures of them....LOL!
Have a great week everyone!

Exciting Stash Enhancements with a Hedgehog score!
Hi Guys and Gals....I am so excited about my stash enhancements, I am going to jump right in!
I have been on a bit of a leggings kick! I got some new leggings with knit stitches on them and one pair with motorcycles on them....I just love all these leggings (and might have a pair with old time cars on the way)!!!
Then I scored some Hedgehog Yarn....I see this yarn all the time and have never used it....I got Film Noir and Bramble....I love them BOTH, but I love the Film Noir so much, I ordered one more skein.
Film Noir
Bramble
I hit the Venus pack with this purchase....and Antonio loved the highlighter part so much, he took it. :)
I also got my FREE skein of yarn from Desert Vista Dyeworks....this is for finishing 6 months of the socks each month. It is called Zombody's Late from Alice in Wonderland.
I also got a package from Dyakcraft...I ordered random colored 3.5" needles to make a multi colored small needle set......These are all the ones I have...My size 8's are on my motorcycle hat (pic later) and I still need a size 10 in a new future color :)
Along with my 3.5" needles, I got 4 of the new Midnight needles in 5"...I love them and am saving up to get the other 4 needles to finish the set!
That is it for stash enhancements.....WHEW! I did have a friend post on Instagram that she was tired of her Signature needles cords breaking....so I sent her some of my Dyakcraft to try and a set of HiyaHiya needles to try.....
Okay.....so as for the knitting.....I finished nothing and I hardly knit this week.....BOO HOO!
I worked on the black sweater....I would like to try to finish this by Thanksgiving and I am already behind.....I will try to catch up!
Then I started my DVD September socks.....Here comes the Zombride...I love this color!
And after ripping twice....I finally got the motorcycle hat restarted.
That is it.....I had a crazy busy weekend with Antonio...I got a new pool for him, we went to golf with my mom and dad and when he came over on Friday, he had a black check from where he hit his face on an entertainment center (cuz he has a crazy amount of energy)!!
Have a great week!
