All Alone for 2 weeks
Hi everyone! How has your week been? Mine was fine till today....it is my first workday without Darlene.....Yup, she is on her 2 week vacation with her husband....they are riding their motorcycles to Canada this year......but she has been texting me daily and I can track where she is via her iPhone.....so I guess I will survive....but I miss her!
On to my knitting/crocheting.....
This past week I finished Mom's socks:
And I got a little bit done on Paige's socks (Darlene also knitted a little on them on the podcast):
I also worked on my Augusta Shawl....
And then spent all day Sunday trying to catch up my Temperature blanket....I made it to the 22nd....so 10 days worth took me pretty much all day....LOL!
Now, I really shouldn't work on both of these crocheting projects in the same weekend.....I found myself doing about a row and a half of double crochets on the blanket when I should have been doing half double crochets.....but I am not ripping back
The new dogs are doing fine.....and Max got to meet Jaz.....they played a little, but I am not sure Max was impressed.....Jaz is just so big she does not know her strength.
I got their new collars with their names on it.....I did not get a picture of Max's, but here is Purl's....its a little hard to see in the picture, but you can see it much better in person in case any of my babies get lost.
This next picture is all of them on my lap taken Saturday morning (before their new collars came in).
Jaz also sat on my lap and got some loving, but it was getting crowded so she went the floor...but not till she deposited tons of hair on me...LOL!
My last thing of the week is that Darlene and I started a new project......and NO, we did not buy yarn for it (but I was ready to). Darlene had enough yarn for the both of us. We are making a sweater called Five by Nicola Susen . We are each making it with 2 skeins of Wollmeise LaceGarn. I am doing Red (Little red riding hood) and Darlene is doing a beautiful turquoise.
That is all I have.....Have a great week everyone!
Happy Happy Happy Knitting!
