He's Getting Better Each Day!

 Hey everyone.....how are you?  I am doing better because my dad is getting better each day.  My mother is not getting better, but hopefully she will soon (she has anothe dr appointment on Wednesday this week).

So, I finished 2 things!  Yahoo!!

First I have to tell you about some yarn I got.....I got this new Malabrigo Caprino yarn in colorway Sunset and paired it with some Farmers Daughter Oh Dang Mohair I already had.

and started and finished another Myra Hat!

I also finished my Primavera Blanket with border and all!

I worked on one of my February Blanket....yes, I know I am behind!

We had a couple of really bad storms last week....lots of hail and lost power.  Paige's house was without power more than me....and my dogs were totally freaking out, but we made it.

Running on fumes!

 Hi everyone.....how are you?  I have been better.  I know I am 2 weeks out from my last post and I am sorry.  Not only is my dad still in the hospital (yes we are entering week 3), but my mother is now in the hospital as well and I am just running on fumes.

Here is my daddy getting better (slowly)

I had a busted pipe in the yard last week and my iMac broke and is in the shop being fixed so I am having to post this update from my ipad which is super duper hard!

First, my plumbing problems:

Then, Darlene needed help finding her place on a Myra hat she was making Shyla....so I just finished the hat....please note, Darlene knit most of this hat, I merely finished it (but it is in black yarn...and you know what they say about that):

Oh, and Darlene and I are starting a new Myra hat today....Yeah!

Antonio was here this past weekend and he wanted (and I quote), "Waffles with whipped cream and strawberries drizzled with chocolate....boy did I deliver....twice!  LOL!

I was able to finish socks while in hospital:

My Primavera blanket only needs the border....hopefully the border will be done in a day or two and i can check this off as finished.

Stupid Gallbladders!

 Hey everyone...how are you?  I have seen better days.  Last week my father wasnot feeling well so my sister took him to ER Wednesday afternoon and it has been a roller coaster since.

Short version:  He has barely eating anything in 9 days, gall stones removed, gallbladder removed. However he quickly declined in this time.  He is slowly starting to eat again (today) and we will see how PT does with him in the next few days and whether he needs to go to rehab facility or home.

One would think I would have eleven finished items with all the hospital time I have had....but I dont.

I finished one sock, and did the heel flap and gusset on 2nd sock

and I worked on that crochet blanket....I am about at the point where the pattern says to stop, but my row gauge must be off because my blanket is not as tall as it should be....so I am gonna keep going (till I run out of yarn).

Purl and Flower are starting to be friends (Purl likes to steal Flower's bed...but they learned to share):
