Baby It's Cold Outside!

 Hey Everyone.....how have you been?  Well, it is FINALLY cold here in SA!  I know yall are probably tired of me telling you how hot it has been.....and we finally got a really good cold front....it is about 43 degrees outside, and yes, I have turned on my heater!

Well, with the great news of last weeks blog post....I have a billion blankets started.  I showed you the first two....well, I started 3 more....yes, I said 3 more....LOL!

First, here is the yarn:

B = Boy

N = Neutral (gender unknown)

G = Girl

We had a mini lakehouse retreat this past weekend....it was only me and 3 other ladies, but it was fabulous and relaxing......I only got pics of the view, ducks, and the Christmas tree in my sister's lakehouse...LOL!

My friend, Margi, made me a gorgeous quilt as a Thank you.....it is not like I do much for the retreat, but it was a very welcomed and beautiful gift!  With perfect timing as I used it this morning to knit and have coffee (I still have today off from my knitting weekend).

That is pretty much all I have....I know I should have more, but I dont....sorry.  Have a great week!

A Big Birthday and an even Bigger Announcement!

 Hey everyone....How are you?  Today is Antonio's 12 th Birthday!  This kid is so amazing.....

And.....he has some big news to share with his new tshirt!

Yup....Paige is pregnant..... a new Ramirez/Quiroz coming in early May 2024!

So the blanket knitting has begun.......I started a girl blanket and a boy blanket....since we do not yet know the gender.

The Eclipse!

 Hey everyone....did you get out and see the Eclipse?  Antonio and I did.....at one point you could even see it without glasses because the cloud cover was enough.

I got yarn for my Zorina Wrap....Sptember Color is Dusk

I did a swatch for the Granny Cardigan

I went to the Shania Twain concert with my sister and 2 of her lakehouse friends.

I got some new pj bottoms.....

I got an amazing package from my friend, Brigit, in the Netherlands

I Have Officially Started!

 Howdy Yall!  How are you?  I am well.  I have officially started.......drum roll please.......

Grace's Cardigan.  I casted on and started the ribbing and was going to start the pattern and.......I realized I forgot to knit the first and last 5 stitches (garter)....I had them in ribbing....so I had to rip and restart.....ARGH!!!!  But here it is so far.  It is a little dark because when I had the light on it was totally blown out....Hopefully I will have better pics in the future.

I finished blocking my Sunshine Coast Sweater

My sister invited me to the Shania Twain concert this week, so I think I will wear it there.

I got some yarn to make Gnomes.....the pattern is here.

and the only other thing I did this week was start a christmas present.....this is the boxy cape.  The color is blown out a little....but it is coming along.  I am also using my new progress keeper that I love!

I got some amazing jam and jelly and applesauce from Darlene's daughter, Shyla, it is delicious....She is so talented and good at everything....and she is really good at canning!!

Welcome October!

 Hello everyone!  I hope you all have been well!  I am welcoming October since the temperatures are starting to slowy go down....yeah!

I finished my sunshine coast sweater (please excuse my very messy bathroom)!

I got some new yarn to start the new Granny Cardigan by Joji....Darlene wants to make this, so of course I said "Yes"!

I got my toes done last week with a gift card from my daddy at his country club (not the place I ususally go to, but it was nice and fancy)...and loved it so much, I went to my regular place (as I cannot afford the country club on a regular basis....LOL) and I could not exactly match the polish, but I am in love with the brighter fingernail color (I love looking at the neon orange on my fingers as I knit)!!

I got all the yarn for Grace's sweater and I have been swatching away!  I hope to start the actual sweater this week!

My nephew and his girlfriend were videoed at the Longhorn game this past weekend and shown on the Texas Longhorn X (formerly twitter) account......so much fun for them in their senior year at University of Texas!
