Feel Like a Virus?

 Hey everyone....How are you?  I am hanging in there.  

Feel like a Virus?  A Virus Shawl that is.  I made one for Darlene this past January for her birthday......I have another one that I started:

I also bought more yarn to start 2 more.....becuase I do not have enough projects already....LOL!

One is Venus Colorway (3 ply)

One is Color My World # 9 (4 ply)

Then, I think my dogs are just the cutest.....so I have to share my cutie pies

I blocked Kody's socks....his birthday was yesterday, so perfect timing

I sent a care pacakge to two cutes in Scotland......Mia loved the sour patch kids and Coley loved the sweatshirt

I finished a chicken for Paige

I started socks for Lupe

and I have been working on Antonio's Pom Pom Blanket

Lastly, a few healthy meals I have made

More Socks

 Hey everyone....how are you?  I am okay.  I have been fairly sore lately....I am working out the same amount I always do, so I dont know if it is just my trainer giving me harder stuff or what.....but soreness has been a real struggle lately and it has been affecting my knitting mojo.

I did finish some more DK weight socks...I started these for Kody a while back...but I just finished them

I think Amira is going through a growth spurt because she has been sleeping a lot lately....at least for me, she might be keeping mom and dad up....when she stays up till 2 am, mom and dad say she is "closing down the club"....LOL!

I recently got a pop up memory from 11 years ago....Look at Big Brother 11 year ago!

I also attempted another meal that Paige posted on Instagram, but this time I forgot to get a screen shot of hers....it is a cream cheese, avocado, and boiled egg mixture on top of a bagel with red pepper chili flakes...I used only the egg whites of my boiled eggs and I will definitely be making this again

I got my yarn for my July Blanket club....no more shawl club since it was just 6 months, but I still need to finish my shawl

My sister's birthday was this past Sunday and we went to my parent's house for dinner....my sister snapped this pick (we did not intentionally exclude big brother, he was in the restroom).

Quick Socks

Hey everyone.....how are you?  I am okay.  Just after my last post, my son called and asked me to knit some socks for his girlfriend in Scotland.....so I was off to buy some yarn and make some socks!!

Sometimes I forget how much I love to knit dk socks......I think my next pair will be green

The other day Paige made a dinner and posted the picture to Instagram......it looked so good so I tried to recreate it.

Hurricane Season

Hey everyone.....if you live in Texas, you know not only is it Hurricane season but that Beryl is headed for Texas.  This one has been pretty unpredictable.  The eye was originally expected to hit the top part of Mexico, just south of Brownsville....but that has slowly changed more and more North as the days went on.  Finally hitting as a category 1 around Matagorda, TX (South of Texas) this morning around 3:55 am.  

It was believed it would be close to category 3 (I think) as that is what I think it was when it went through the Caribbean and Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula.  Don't get me wrong.....I am glad it is not packing the punch everyone thought it would and it is terrible that it has claimed the lives of 10 people so far.....but my goodness, it is not even funny how wrong all the predictions were over and over again.....That is Mother Nature for you!

Okay...enough of that (I do not think SA will even get any rain from this one).....what have I been up to?  Not much......seriously, I need to do more!  LOL!

This beautiful girl has a dr appointment today (just a check up) and I cannot wait to see how much her stats changed.

My coworkers are again sleeping on the job

I made a mistake on my montly blanket.  After seaming 6 squares, I was to pick up stitches on one side and knit a pattern, then the same on the other side.  However, I did not realize the pattern I was supposed to knit was different for each side.....but I just went and did the same pattern on each side and then realized my error (the second pattern was on the back side of the card and I did not even look because I am a dork).  However, I kind of like the result.  So, June monthly blanket is done......waiting on July.

I got my June Shawl yarn....this is the last shipment for the shawl, so I hope to finish the shawl soon.

For my last item.....I should just insert Whitesnake's Here I Go Again song (I am old).  Let's just say that I cannot say no to Antonio......

Happy Independence Day!

 Hey Everyone....How are you?  I am hanging in there.  Independence Day is in 2 days and I hope you have a good one!

My week has been fairly uneventful (as usual).  I did baby sit Amira

and my parents came over to see her

Unfortunately Paige got in an accident (she is fine, not her fault...another driver ran a red light).

I ordered some yarn that I thought would go together for the Unicorn Cloud Wrap....Images are so hard to tell when online.

but they dont really go together.....but have no fear....I have some cashmere/alpaca lace yarn that works

I also started to knit the June Yarn onto the Monthly Blanket

Embarrassingly.....that is really all I got.  Have a great week everyone!
